Tecnomed intensive care units provide modular gas and power systems including oxygen outlets, UPS sockets, alarms, and monitor stands for hospital ICUs.

Intensive care units are the final and most critical points of medical gas installations in hospitals. They ensure the safe and uninterrupted delivery of oxygen, vacuum, medical air 4, medical air 7, and N2O gases directly to the patient. These systems include ceiling pendants, bridge units, wall modules, and columns with multiple gas and electrical outlets.

Bridge type intensive care units may feature up to 24 electrical sockets, 12 ground nodes, 3 oxygen, vacuum, and air outlets. They include height-adjustable IV poles, monitor stands, infusion carriers, and anesthesia gas scavenging outlets. Most pendants are designed with British, American, BS, DIN, or AF Norm standard gas outlets.

Electrical sockets must be UPS connected, halogen-free, and grounded properly. ICU units also include medical gas alarms for real-time pressure control and zone control modules for gas safety. With their modular build, these units can be customized based on ICU level and bed configuration. Monitor shelves and carrier rails support patient care during high-risk procedures like endoscopy.

Tecnomed intensive care units include flash, vexillum, trio, medicolumn, trigon, and vertical types, offering fully equipped solutions for every hospital.

An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a critical care department within a hospital designed to deliver round-the-clock treatment for patients with severe, life-threatening conditions. Equipped with advanced monitoring systems, ventilators, and life-support technology, the ICU is staffed by specially trained medical professionals including intensivists, nurses, and respiratory therapists. These units handle complex emergencies such as organ failure, sepsis, major trauma, post-operative instability, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. ICU environments are isolated and meticulously controlled to minimize infection risk and enable uninterrupted monitoring. Every intensive care unit integrates with oxygen panels, gas outlets, and digital data systems to provide real-time diagnostics and immediate intervention capabilities.
